JOURNEY DURING WORLD YOUTH DAY

July 26, 2008 - One Response

My journey before during and after World Youth Day….I was excited to go there. I faced a lot of problems but also received lots of blessings from the Lord.

During my trip in Sydney itself, I also faced with A LOT of problems. Before reaching Sydney, we had ticketing problems, then we had problems with immigration in Australia but mild ones. But the most headache that I faced there was being a leader…Hehehe. I had to listen to a lot of remarks, complaints and even faced with the attitude of some of them. It’s not easy but eventually I get through it. I don’t think I did a good job in leading my group but I know I did one thing there….as far as I can I enjoy my trip there.

I also received lots of blessings in forms of those who have helped me when I am sick, or when I really can’t stand on my own. I would like to thank them for that. God was also gracious to me as He sent to me a friend whom I have actually wanted to call but couldn’t get through. I met up with my friend in Australia itself and I really was very, very happy cause I missed this friend of mine very much. God knew I needed just that to make me feel better.

Yeah, I was sick too during this trip. I got the flu. My fever went up and down throughout the week and I didn’t notice it until the day that I was in the airport before going home. I actually cried but I guess no one noticed it. Thank God for that. hehehe.

I guess, what I really wanted to say now is my trip to Australia made me to think of my life. Especially during the Pilgrimage walk, it reminds me of my life. At times, I wanted to just give up. The walk was very difficult for me as I was not fit for this walk. I tend to ask to stop and rest but because I know the end is near, I walked till the end. Unfortunately, when we reached the Randwick Park, our place where we were suppose to be were full. We had to move to another place. As what Marianna said to me, somebody said we were like Mary and Joseph cannot find room in the inn…..When we arrived to the place where we suppose to rest, we said our prayer and we set our sleeping bags on where we will be sleeping that nite. I couldn’t help myself but just needed a hug. I and my friend gave each other a BIG hug as we know we have reached safely. We were tired and we were hungry and cold. Yeah, that day we had to sleep under the stars and it was winter. we had to go inside our sleeping bag just to keep warm. I’ll never forget this experience that I had with my group.

I would like to thank my group members for all that they had done for me. Good or bad they are still my friends and will remain my friends forever.

THE JOURNEY TO WORLD YOUTH DAY 2008

June 27, 2008 - One Response

As you can read from the title, it is indicating that I AM ONE OF THEM GOING FOR THIS BIG EVENT… Hehehe. Praise God for this. I have come soooooo far just to get to this day. I thought I prepared myself for the worse but unfortunately the worse will come when I don’t expect it to come….Hehehe. Financially I think I still need help but Praise God…He provides. Spiritually, I think I am ok, but NO…but Praise God too cause He send angels to give me the encouragement. Mentally and physically, I don’t think I am ok. Hehehe. But now, it seems that I don’t seem to care anymore what happens to me when I am in Sydney, cause I know God will be there for me. I just need all things to be approved from here like my visa, my finance and my accommodation during the event. Other then that, I am prepared. My bag has not been packed, but I feel like flying to Sydney tonite just to be there. I will update again when I come back from Sydney what happened to me and what I gain from all of this. For those who will be reading this, do pray for me and my team. There will be 25 of us going there and I do hope 25 of us will come home to Sabah in one piece. Hehehe.

Last but not least…. Praise God for everything.

Shalom to all who are reading this. It’s been a long time since I have actually write… I am actually busy with my preparation with World Youth Day in Sydney and the Sabah Youth Day in Ranau… I am excited for my trip to Sydney but I am scared as well as I do not know what to expect from there. And I am worried that my group’s registration got problem. Hehehe. You know me lah. I am a worrier. Hehehe. For the event in Ranau I know things will not be smooth also. It’s only by God’s grace that everything will be made perfect.

I am also sad the thought that OUR DEAREST Fr Wilfred will be leaving us to further his study in Rome. But I know by going he’ll he more enriched by the knowledge that God wants him to know. So let us all pray for his safety, his studies and his life there. That he’ll touch more people there as how he had touch us YOUTH in SACRED HEART CATHEDRAL. To all youth remember to come on the 15th June in Sacred Heart to give him a BIG farewell. To Fr Wilfred, D we’ll miss you…

Today also I just receive news from my friend that one of my friend is in critical condition. He was diagnosed spine tumor last year, and he went through Cemo and Radio Therapy. I thought he was doing well. Then I found out today, he’s now on oxygen and is critical. How critical I also don’t know. What I know is God is the only one that can help him now. Let us all pray for him.

I hope God will take control of all conditions and I pray that He’ll be my guide and light.

Take care and God Bless.

MY LIFE AS AT TODAY

September 21, 2007 - No Responses

Hi to all,

It has been a hell of a ride for me in my life. As of today, I’ve nearly tried to think of ways how to just drop everything and run off somewhere where I can be have a peaceful life. But that won’t happen. Why? Cause I’ve got lots to do myself here. How I am being hurt by a remark made by a friend or my family or my colleagues or my superior, I know I am here for a reason. I am here to serve and not to be served.

Though many times I feel so alone in this path that I am in….. I’m lucky enough, to have a friend whom I can actually depend on. Actually friends. Though some of them are far away from me, they call when I feel down. They encourage me when I feel like giving up. They let me be emotional, when I need to. And for that I call them my angels.  They are angels without wings….. I will miss them though when the time for me to move on cause I’ll never find friends like them.

For those who have friends, appreciate them. Even your own family. Appreciate them. You’ll never know whtn they will go from your life. And it will be too late oredi if they really leave and you aren’t able to say what you want to say to them.

For those who have helped me a lot these few days, I want to say thank you. I’ll remember you always in my prayers and my daily life.

That’s all for today. Have faith in the Lord always and rejoice for He is always there for us. There’s time to cry, there’s time to laugh. There’s time to plant, there’s time to sow……

God Bless always.

God Said No

November 17, 2005 - 2 Responses

I asked God to take away my habit.  God said, No. It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole. God said, No.  His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary  I asked God to grant me patience.  God said, No. Patience is a byproduct of tribulations;  it isn’t granted, it is learned.

I asked God to give me happiness.  God said, No.  I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain. God said, No. Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares  and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.  God said, No.  You must grow on your own! , but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.  God said, No.  I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things.

I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as He  loves me.  God said…Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

May God Bless You,

"May the Lord Bless you and keep you,
May the Lord Make his face shine upon you,
and give you Peace…..Forever"
"Good friends are like stars…You don’t always see them,
but you know they are always there.

AWESOME GOD

November 9, 2005 - No Responses

TODAY IS A BEAUTIFUL DAY. PRAISE GOD….

PAST 3 DAYS I’VE BEEN ATTENDING PLANET SHAKERS CONFERENCE TOGETHER WITH MY SISTER AND MY BROTHER. I WAS GLAD THAT MY FRIEND MELINDA AND GLORIA HAD ENCOURAGED ME TO JOIN EVENTHOUGH IT WAS LIKE RM 110 FOR THE CONFERENCE. IT WAS WORTH IT. I WENT IN WITHOUT EXPECTING ANYTHING AND COME OUT WITH SOMETIHING IN ME.  THE WHOLE 3 DAYS WERE AWESOME, NOT BECAUSE OF THE PLANET SHAKERS ITSELF, BUT BECAUSE GOD WAS REALLY THERE FOR ALL OF US. HE WAS EVEN MORE PRESENT THERE ON THE LAST DAY. HE MADE A FEW CHANGES FOR ME AS I WAS STRUGGLING TO MAKE UP MY MIND IN ATTENDING WHICH SESSION NEXT. LEADERSHIP OR YOUTH???? BUT HE, IN HIS EVER LOVING HEART ENSURE THAT I COULD EXPERIENCE BOTH. I’M GLAD HOW THINGS WENT. I WAS PROUD OF MYSELF……….

YESTERDAY, AFTER I WENT THROUGH A VERY FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE WITH THE PLANET SHAKERS,… MY SISTER AND I MET WITH AN ACCIDENT. A VAN CAME OUT OF A JUNCTION, NOT EVEN LOOKING AT US HIT US. LUCKILY MY SISTER HAD SWERVED FROM THE BEGINNING, IF NOT I WOULD HAVE BEEN BADLY HURT. NEVER MIND THAT,,,,, THE MAN WHO HIT US SCOLDED US FOR NOT NOTICING US AND FOR NOT GIVING WAY TO HIM. I WAS FILLED WITH ANGER THAT I STARTED SHOUTING AT HIM. IMAGINE SHOUTING AT HIM ON THE ROAD. I COULDN’T GET OUT OF THE CAR CAUSE MY DOOR WAS HIT. I WAS NOT A CHRISTIAN THEN. HEHEHEHE….. BUT I WAS ANGERED CAUSE HE DIDN’T EVEN SEEM TO CARE IF MY SISTER AND I WAS HURT OR NOT. HE SAW THAT WE WERE GIRLD AND HE TOOK THE OPPORTUNITY TO BULLY US. I, IN RETURN, CALL FOR BACK UP. WHILE CRYING ON THE PHONE, I CALLED MY FRIENDS…. MORE GIRLS CAME IN AND MORE BULLYING FROM THE MAN. MY FRIEND STRAIGHT AWAY CALLED HER DAD WHO IN RETURN CALLED HER UNCLE WHO IS A POLICEMAN. WE WAITED FOR THE POLICE BUT THEN THE MAN GOT SCARED AND SAID HE’LL ADMIT HE’S WRONG AND WILL PAY WITHOUT REPORTING. SO OK LAH. AS A CATHOLIC, MY SISTER AND I SAID OK LAH. WE WENT TO THE WORKSHOP IN THEN HE CHANGED HIS MIND AS HE HAD TO PAY RM 700 FOR THE CAR. HE DECIDED TO REPORT TO THE POLICE. SO WE GO ALL THE WAY TO THE POLICE STATION IN KK. ARRIVING THERE, HE CHANGED HIS MIND AGAIN. HE PAID THE RM 700 TO MY BROTHER. OH WELL. I JUST HOPE HE’LL NOT HURT ANOTHER HUMAN BEING BY HIS DRIVING. ANYONE WHO READ THIS…PLEASE PRAY FOR THIS MAN. AMEN…

ONE THING THAT I LEARN FROM THE CONFERENCE DO NOT BE PUT IN THE BOX OF FEAR. I WILL NOT BE PUT DOWN BECAUSE OF WHAT HAPPEN. I WILL HAVE PHOBIA NOW AND THEN OF VANS BUT WITH GOD’S HELP MY SISTER AND I WILL GET THROUGH THIS. I WILL NOT LOOSE THIS FIGHT…. FOR ANYONE WHO READ THIS DO PRAY FOR US. AMEN…..

GOD BLESS ALWAYS AND J…E….S….U….S… I LOVE YOU

DADDY’S EMPTY CHAIR

October 19, 2005 - No Responses

A man’s daughter had asked the local minister to come and pray with her
father. When the minister arrived, he found the man lying in bed with
his head propped up on two pillows. An empty chair sat beside his bed. The
minister assumed that the old fellow had been informed of his visit. "I
guess you were expecting me, he said. ‘No, who are you?" said the
father.

The minister told him his name and then remarked, "I saw the empty
chair and I figured you knew I was going to show up," "Oh yeah, the chair,"
said the bedridden man. "Would you mind closing the door?" Puzzled, the
minister shut the door. "I have never told anyone this, not even my
daughter," said the man. "But all of my life I have never known how to
pray. At church I used to hear the pastor talk about prayer, but it went
right over my head." I abandoned any attempt at prayer," the old man
continued, "until one day four years ago, my best friend said to me,
"Johnny, prayer is just a simple matter of having a conversation with
Jesus. Here is what I suggest." "Sit down in a chair; place an empty chair
in front of you, and in faith see Jesus on the chair. It’s not spooky
because he promised, ‘I will be with you always’.  "Then just speak to him
in the same way you’re doing with me right now." "So, I tried it and I’ve
liked it so much that did it a couple of hours every day. I’m careful
though If my daughter saw me talking to an empty chair, she’d either have
a nervous breakdown or send me off to the funny farm." The minister was
deeply moved by the story and encouraged the old man to continue on the
journey. Then he prayed with him, anointed him with oil, and returned to
the church. Two nights later the daughter called to tell the minister that
her daddy had died that afternoon. Did he die in peace?" he asked. Yes,
when I left the house about  two o’clock, he called me over to his
bedside, told me he loved me and kissed me on the cheek. When I got back
from the store an hour later, I found him dead. But there was something
strange about his death. Apparently, just before Daddy died, he leaned
over and rested his head on the chair beside the bed. What do you make of
that?" The minister wiped a tear from his eye and said, "I wish we could
all go like that."

Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive.
  I asked God for water,
* He gave me an ocean.
I asked God for a flower,
* He gave me a garden I asked God for a friend, He gave me all of YOU…

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. Happy moments,
praise God. Difficult moments, seek God. Quiet moments, worship God.
Painful moments, trust God. Every moment, thank God. Pass this message to
seven people except you and me. You will receive a miracle tomorrow just
do  it

The Mayonnaise Jar and the 2 Cups of Coffee

October 19, 2005 - No Responses

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf  balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things –God, your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions–and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.

The sand is everything else–the small stuff." "If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

"Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first–the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I’m glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

"There’s always room for a couple of Beers with friends…"  :P

WHO TOOK YOUR PLACE

October 18, 2005 - No Responses

One day, a man went to visit a church. He got there early, parked his
car, and got out. Another car pulled up near and the driver got out and
said,"I always park there!
You took my place!"

The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat and sat
down. A young lady from the church approached him and stated, "That’s
my seat! You took my place!" The visitor was somewhat distressed by this
rude welcome, but said nothing.

After Sunday School, the visitor went into the sanctuary and sat down.
Another member walked up to him and said, "That’s where I always sit!
You took my place!" The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment,
but still He said nothing.

Later as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell among them,
the visitor stood up, and his appearance began to change. Horrible scars
became visible on his hands and on his sandaled feet. Someone from the
congregation noticed him and called out, "What happened to you?" The
visitor replied, as his hat became a crown of thorns, and a tear fell
from his eye, "I took your place."

When you receive this, say a prayer. That’s all you have to do. There
is nothing attached. This is powerful.

Just send this to four people and see what happens on the fourth day.
Maybe, just maybe, we can get the world to start thinking of Who took
our place.
